"Experiencing the Love God Gives; Engaging the World God Loves." That is our vision statement. It does not tell you who we are, but that statement does say something about the kind of church we are trying to be. When Jesus was questioned about which commandment was the most important, he responded with this:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, "Love others as much as you love yourself." Matthew 22:37-39 (CEV)
This is at the foundation of our vision statement. He hope it and this electronic home offers you a glimpse of the family of God called Mount Pisgah. Come and be our guest. Worship with us. Learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus with us. Mount Pisgah is a place where your faith story matters.
Mount Pisgah Baptist Church is not a building. Mount Pisgah is a group of people who worship together and serve together. We try to be family for one another. We believe God has blessed us. He blesses us through his care. He blesses us with grace and forgiveness through Christ Jesus. He blesses us by being present in our lives through the Holy Spirit. Because God has blessed us, we believe he calls us to be a blessing to our community and world. We try to reflect the light of Christ in our lives as individuals and as a church. It is our desire and God’s desire that you know he loves you. He wants you to know that he offers grace and forgiveness through his son, Christ Jesus.
