Beulah grew up in Harnett County, N.C. and later moved to Cumberland County where she met her late husband, LeRoy McLaughlin.  She is the mother of seven children, twentyone grandchildren, twentyfour great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. 

Beulah joined New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in 1941, and over the nearly 70 years since, has held a number of leadership positions, including, Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, and Treasurer.  She loves to sing in church and with family, and has written many original Gospel songs and poems.

Beulah has served Mount Pisgah as Custodian since 1984.
